From Robb:
The breeding end has been good to us. One of my early mentors, Clarence "Possum" Johnson, gave me this advice. It is important to know how the horses you are working are bred to their third generation. If you like them, it will help you get another one, and if you hate them, it can help save you from getting another one like them.
When Tom Moore and Art Simmons bought Bellisima at the Chicago International from Gene Oder and Margo Baird's grandfather, J.P. Wheeler, Mr. Wheeler told me that Art Simmons having had Fairview's Gay Divorcee, Bellissima's dam, was a great consideration in the deal.
I tell people all the time that you can't get a good customer without a good horse, and you can't get a good horse without a good customer, so get a well bred, good thinking mare and get a start at breeding.
I was lucky enough to start colts for Carl Fisher and Ellis Waggoner years ago, and seeing Mr. Fisher's emphasis on top mares, such as Kitty Smith and Priceless Gem, made an impression on me that lasts to this day.
Our foundation mare was a mare we bought as a yearling. Tally Town was by CH Yorktown and out of a Vanity's Sensation mare that had been bred by Tom Moore.
Our Broodmares

Tally Town's last foal was a filly. We kept Mega Dittos as a broomare to carry on her dam's grand bloodlines. She has had two foals to date, and has crossed exceptionally well with RWC How Fortunate.

Yarbrough's Strawberry Delight, "Maggie" was by a grand, underused son of CH Yorktown, Town Square. She was the dam of the 2x World Champion Paranormal. Her last foal, Eidolon, is an exquisite end to a marvelous life.

Belle's Petit Sirah is lovely mare who is by Bi Mi Sultan's Wine, who was by Sultan's Santana and out of the Little Gallant gray mare RWC Winter Wine. Belle's dam was by RWC Preferred Property and out of a CH Yorktown mare.

Every mare we have ever had by Supreme Hi Lite has tried to make money. Our mare Winchester Bay is no exception. Her 2009 stud colt by How Fortunate has "Freedom Hall" written all over him. This mare is out of a Sultan's Santana mare. Her second dam is an own daughter of Wing Commander.

Pixie Dust is a HOT, powerful mare by a Champagne Fizz/Yorktown Stud and out of a My Town mare. This young mare has shown her potential with her 2009 bay colt by How Fortunate.
